Viv Sloan Associates Ltd (VSA), a business development consultancy, has recently moved to the area from the West Midlands.

Director Viv Sloan started her career in sales and marketing in Canada, then moved to the UK where she spent 12 years in the further and higher education sectors running training businesses and marketing departments. She set up her first consultancy, TeamPro Solutions Ltd, with a business partner in 2001, then set up on her own in 2011. The focus of the consultancy is on business growth. VSA helps companies work through their growth strategies, devise and implement sales and marketing plans and develop business plans to attract investors or government funding. With a degree in French literature, an MBA from Warwick University and a GCSE in Mandarin, Viv is also an approved GrowthAccelerator Coach, delivering government subsidized business development consultancy services to companies aiming for high growth. VSA works with all types of companies, for example, Viv has helped a ship repair and recycling company win a major MOD tender and is helping them negotiate with the French MOD, assisted by her fluency in French. Viv also helps companies apply for capital expenditure grants in partnership with an experienced chartered accountant, and is in the process of assisting a manufacturing firm devise their business growth and export strategy and apply for a research and development grant. She recently helped an events staffing agency develop their sales and marketing plan and a firm of solicitors to change their business model. VSA has successful experience in many business sectors, including tooling, jewellery and clothing manufacturing, soil mixing, electronics distribution, metal recycling, dental technology, legal and many more. As a new member, Viv Sloan is looking forward to networking with other members, making new contacts, and learning more about the businesses in Sheffield and surrounding areas.
