Watch the Sheffield Sharks Play and Help to Make Life Better for Spinal Injury Patients

20th February 2013

On Friday 15 March, the Sheffield Sharks take on the Cheshire Phoenix in the British Basketball League.

The match takes place at 7.30 pm at the English Institute of Sport in Attercliffe.   Profits from ticket sales will be donated to Sheffield Hospitals Charity and used to improve the care of patients being treated in the Spinal Cord Injury Centre at the Northern General Hospital.   The Centre would like to provide its patients with the opportunity to walk again and is aiming to raise £100,000 to purchase a bionic exoskeleton suit. This is a life changing piece of battery powered equipment that enables paralysed patients to experience walking and standing with the suits assistance. Videos of the suit in use and how it makes someone who is paralysed are available here and here.   Tickets for the game are just £5 each. To purchase, please call the Box Office Hotline 0114 256 5656.
