Wild Wednesdays raising cash for Sheffield charity’s older person pandemic support

21st May 2020

Wild workers at the heart of helping Sheffield’s older people through the pandemic are donning crazy outfits to raise funds for their vital work.

An ice cream, unicorn and Super Mario are just some of transformations staff at Sheffield Churches for Community Care (SCCCC) are making every Wednesday.

Now they want other home workers to do the same to raise money for the help they are giving isolated and vulnerable older people across the city- many of whom have no other means of support.

Ericka Hill, fundraiser at SCCCC, said: “Working from home, it’s ‘dress down Friday’ everyday so why not dress up in your wildest outfit and surprise your colleagues at your next team video catch up.

“It will not only make their day but the funds raised will help us to provide a helping hand to older people when they need it the most.

“Staff at SCCCC are going wild – join us!”
