Christmas is a magical time of the year.

Surrounded by family and friends and with all the excitement of the season, for many people Christmas is what happy childhood memories are made of. This year Ben and Jen Degg from Sheffield are determined to make their family Christmas extra special, a happy time for children George (3) and Edie (2) to look back on with joy. Beneath the smiles for the camera though lies a heartbreaking story. In February, following a diagnosis of secondary lung cancer and despite receiving extensive treatment at Weston Park Hospital, Ben was given the devastating news that he has exhausted all conventional treatment options for his illness. His future is now very uncertain. Ben's wife, Jen says, 'Sadly we don't know what 2015 will bring us. We have to take each day as it comes and make the precious time that we spend together this Christmas really count.' Despite their unimaginable situation Ben and Jen have generously agreed to support the Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity Christmas Star Appeal. Will you support our appeal?
