With the current competitive labour market employers are looking for candidates with the knowledge, transferable skills and relevant employment experience. Work experience provides our students with the employability skills they need to go out and obtain a graduate job. The SEOTY awards are a great way to rewards students and employers for their hard work and to inspire individuals to continue to develop their employment portfolios. A total of 56 universities and colleges across the UK received nominations with the University of Sheffield and Staffordshire University jointly receiving the highest number of nominations. The categories for awards include rewarding both students working on and off campus and student friendly employers.
