Workplace Support

19th October 2016

Do you employ someone with autism or Asperger Syndrome? Are you looking to increase diversification in your workplace? Our First Routes team can help you.

First Routes provides specialist support in the workplace to support both employers and employees. We provide training, awareness, support and guidance to help employers and colleagues better understand the needs of adults with autism in the workplace. We provide a range of support from autism & employment training through to one to one job coaching. Our services and level of support are tailored to suit your needs. Training & Awareness We can deliver bespoke training at a venue of your choice throughout the UK. Training can be tailored based on your business needs, whether this is focused on a specific area or general awareness for managers and colleagues. Workplace Assessments If you employ an adult with autism or Asperger Syndrome and need guidance and support on how to best support the individual in the workplace, then a workplace assessment would be beneficial. An assessment is completed at your workplace, including time with you as the employer, an assessment with the individual, as well as meeting colleagues and a visit to the work environment. We gather information on concerns, the role and help you identify reasonable adjustments required to better support the employee in their role. For details on the training packages or workplace assessments available and costs please contact us for more information. If you employ an adult with autism or Asperger Syndrome then you may be eligible for funding to cover the cost of this training or assessment. Courses for Employees Do you employ a group of individuals with disabilities or health needs that need a boost in confidence to help reduce sickness or improve productivity? We offer a course for your employees to help increase confidence, self-esteem and motivation. The course can cater for up to 8 employees over a 6 week period, for one session a week. Our team will meet with you to discuss your business needs and assess the eligibility of your employees. We will then provide you with details on the cost of this service and any ongoing support required. One to One Support for Employees If you have an employee that you feel would benefit from additional support we can provide one to one support in the workplace to help individuals sustain employment in the longer term. If your employee has a disability or health condition then this support can be fully funded. We will work with you and the employee to identify any areas of concern, and put in place appropriate support. To discuss your individual needs or to find out more about our services for employers please contact us: firstroutes@autismplus.co.uk or on 01143840284
