Established in 2012, the business has grown rapidly and has built a reputation for excellence in the arena in which it operates. From a standing start the company now operates world-wide, delivering innovative products including bespoke smartphone applications and cost-effective telematics systems - alongside consistent service to clients including Direct Line Group (DLG), RSA Group and America International Group. The application gives customers a unique insight into their driving behaviour with key variables such as anticipation, speed and mobile use the data is analysed by The Floow and provides users with an end score and educational feedback to ultimately be used to reward safer driving with discounted insurance premiums. With a combination of first class analytics and a team of expert software developers, The Floow has a unique approach to reduce the cost of insurance premiums and driving by promoting 'greener' and safer on-road behaviour. This has been recognised by Creative England who have named The Floow has a top ten future leader and in Sheffield through the Made in Sheffield Mark. The products produced on behalf of clients, as well as the analytics of the data captured and the management of the consumer feedback tools, are managed exclusively from the company's Sheffield base. Last year the business recruited a number of business development representatives across Europe and in the US in order to explore further international opportunities. In 2015 the business has projected turnover exceeding £4 million with new projects scheduled to launch in the US, Ireland and Canada in the coming months. In 2014, The Floow announced that it had received a significant equity increase investment from DLG as a result of its innovative and ground-breaking approach to the design and development of telematics products, as well as its commitment to adding value through online feedback tools and customer service.
