Wybourn children horse around at Whirlow Hall Farm thanks to Mercury Taxis!

12th September 2014

Sheffield's family taxi company, Mercury Taxis, have once again committed to support Whirlow Hall Farm's through '480 Club', which enables children from some of Sheffield's most disadvantaged areas to visit the farm this year.

Mercury's business development manager Peter Holmes says, -All of the management, staff and drivers here at Mercury Taxis are very proud to be the sponsors of Wybourn Community Primary School in Sheffield for the second year running. A group of 12 children from Wybourn Community Primary School recently stayed on the farm for two nights enjoying a farm tour, doing fun farm jobs and pony riding thanks to the funds we raise. As a dad of a pre-school child myself, I am always moved to hear these are experiences they would never otherwise get- some have never even seen a farm animal. Whirlow's fundraiser and event organiser Suzanne Nitikman said, -We are thrilled that Mercury Taxis are not only 480 Club sponsors, but are sponsoring the giant marquee at this weekend's annual Farm Fayre which in turn helps local businesses to offer their high quality local produce. We really value Mercury Taxis continued support and further sponsorship of the 'Hallowe'en Spooktacular' and the Christmas Fayre later this year. Whirlow's Farm Fayre is this Sunday 14th September http://www.whirlowhallfarm.org/events-calendar/ The Fayre runs from 10.00am to 4.00pm so be sure to come along and enjoy the fun. Children are FREE and adult entry is £6.00. Tickets can be bought online or pay on the gate.
