Yorkshire Motorsport Star Achieves His Biggest Win To Date

17th December 2025

Sheffield’s 18-year-old driver Rowan Campbell-Pilling has been crowned third place in the F4 UAE Trophy Series, following his debut in the Middle East.

The F4 UAE Trophy Series featured five official practice sessions, five qualifying sessions and eight races across three weekends.

Rowan secured two podiums in his debut weekend at the Dubai Autodrome during round one, drove on the F1 schedule at Yas Marina in round two, and won a first-place podium at the Lenovo Gulf 12-hour GT Endurance weekend during round three, also at Yas Marina.

The Middle East series has seen Rowan take a new direction in his motorsport journey and race in completely new territories.

He has completed extensive nutrition, hydration, and physical training, supported by additional simulator work, to ensure he is fully prepared to race in temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius.

After three rounds and seven races, Rowan achieved three podiums including a first, second and third place along with further top ten finishes.

This meant he secured third place overall in the championship – his international debut – completing his F4 2025 season on a high.

Rowan said: “It’s been amazing to represent not just Sheffield and South Yorkshire on the world stage but also the UK, as I’ve raced against the likes of Prema and Hitech again.

“To come away with a pole position and a win has been amazing for both me and the team. We have worked very hard to achieve this success, both over these three weeks and in training beforehand.

“I’m incredibly grateful to all my friends, family and our wonderful partners that support me. It’s been an honour to be on this journey with you and we can’t wait to continue in 2026 too.”

Rowan looks forward to taking the wheel again as he steps up to the UK’s premier category MSV GB3 single seaters in 2026.
