Young Creatives 2025 returns this autumn

30th September 2025

A pop-up art exhibition at Mercure St Paul’s, Sheffield, showcasing pupil artwork from Mercia Learning Trust, with an online auction raising funds for Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity.

Young Creatives, the popular art and photography exhibition from Mercia Learning Trust, is set to return to Sheffield this autumn.

From 22 October to 19 November, Mercure St Paul’s Hotel will host more than 50 canvases created from original works by pupils at Mercia School, King Ecgbert School and Newfield School.

The exhibition is paired with an online silent auction, where the three highest sealed bids for each piece will secure a reproduction canvas. Half of the proceeds will go to Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, with the rest supporting the arts across our schools.

Younger children from our primary schools and Key Stage 3 will also feature in a special competition, re-imagining Theo the bear, the hospital’s mascot.

This exciting project follows a highly successful pilot last year and represents an important way for businesses, families and local residents to celebrate Sheffield’s creativity while supporting a vital cause.

We are proud to be partnering with Mercure St Paul's, Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity, and The Yard Gallery on this project.
