Your Future Careers Fair In Partnership With Skills Made Easy

7th January 2016

Are you looking for an apprentice? Look no further! The Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry is partnering their already successful 'Your Future' Careers Fairs with the long running 'Skills Made Easy' event at Ponds Forge on March 2nd.

This event is for young people aged 14-24 to inspire, enthuse and motivate them to think about prospective careers, the employment options available to them and to make the most of their remaining time in education. The Your Future Careers Fairs is a government funded national project to deliver 250 events through Chambers of Commerce, attracting over 70,000 young people across England. We ask all businesses within this sector to attend and showcase the different opportunities available to young people including apprenticeships/traineeships and placements. As an exhibitor you will not only gain exposure to hundreds of local young people and a variety of schools, you will also have the chance to network with the various other organisations attending. We also feel that your organisation can provide the young people attending with vital information needed in order for them to make a fully informed decision about their future career. An exhibition space at this event is free and includes a 2m x 2m space, power, internet, tables, chairs, free on-site parking and refreshments for the duration of the event as well as the chance to meet some of the 'Stars of tomorrow'. In order for business to get the most out of the Your Future Careers Fair and to inspire young people attending we suggest that you demonstrate the products and services you offer as well as bringing along a 'Have a Go' memorable and interactive activity for the young people to get involved in. Doing this will make your stand popular and attract more young people than if you did not offer an interactive activity. The young people attending may want to talk to already employed young people, therefore if you already have a young person working in your organisation it would be a good idea for you to bring them along as well. This again will make your stand more attractive and popular with the young people, thus gaining providing maximum exposure. If you have any queries regarding the above careers fairs please contact Sam Christmas Events Coordinator 0114 201 8918 Sam.christmas@scci.org.uk In partnership with The Sheffield College
