South Yorkshire Transport Forum
Sponsored by Mott MacDonald
Our mission is to help South Yorkshire be home to one of the best transport systems in the United Kingdom.
Sheffield Chamber’s Regional Transport Forum plays a leadership role in South Yorkshire by representing the view of business interests engaged in substantive and strategic transport issues.
The forum is committed to playing a positive and proactive role in building a transport system that works for everyone, connecting people to the places they want to go within the region as well as nationally and internationally.
The forum is for those in the private, public, educational and third sectors who can play a meaningful role in the enhancement of a transport system that is safe, reliable, clean, green, and affordable.
The remit of the forum is to:
- Act as a knowledge exchange between the business community, transport operators and public bodies.
- Be an independent voice of business on transport issues in the wider region.
- Identify and harness opportunity to support the business community to benefit competitively from improved connectivity for employees and suppliers.
- Facilitate the application of entrepreneurial insight to address strategic transport issues.
