Policy

It's our objective to ensure that your voice - whatever the size of your business - is heard.

Our policy and representation activities have been the cornerstone of Chamber activities for over 150 years. Our representational legacy has allowed the Chamber to influence decisions on a wide variety of subjects, including transport, regeneration, regional development, sectoral issues and inward investment.

It’s our objective to ensure that your voice – whatever the size of your business – is heard when city councils and government agencies are formulating policy or consulting the business community.

All businesses are subject to changes in government policies over which they have no control. Our activity ensures Sheffield businesses are represented in policy decisions at all levels of government.

All policy arguments are developed through engagement with members. Through a series of forums, events and networking Sheffield Chamber is constantly collecting your views, collating them and feeding them into the right place. We sit on most of the cities project boards and try to ensure that the employer community is seen as a true partner in the development of this great city.
