Working At Height Safety

This course aims to provide the delegate with a basic knowledge and understanding of how to work on a rooftop safely. This course is ideal for workers who do not regularly work at height.

Ensure you have the right training for the right situation. The key to protecting yourself at height is not only ensuring you have the right equipment but the right training. Our training can give you the knowledge you need for occasionally working at height.

This training course is:

  • Valid for 3 years
  • One Day - 7 guided learning hours

Course Outcomes

  • Relevant regulations & legislation
  • Hierarchy of Working at Height
  • Working at Height categories and correct types of Personal Fall Protection Equipment (PFPE)
  • Anchor points - horizontal and vertical personal fall protection systems
  • Anchor points - eyebolts, mobile anchors
  • Harness and lanyard pre-use checks and fitting
  • Identify need for a rescue plan
  • Use of : - Full Body Harness
  • Single & Twin Lanyards
  • Roof access, egress and hazards
  • Fixed ladder techniques with fall arrest/ work positioning lanyards
  • Practical of fall protection equipment
  • Written assessment
  • Practical assessment

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to recognise and identify hazards associated with working at height.
